Some bathrooms just wear their age on their sleeve. Beige wall tile, a yellowed tub surround, floral vinyl flooring, and that classic oak vanity with the Hollywood bulb strip - it all adds up to a space that feels heavy and dated the second you walk in. That's exactly what we were working with here.

The bones were fine. The layout worked. But everything else needed to go. We stripped it down and started fresh - new large-format tile on the floor and walls, a white shaker vanity with a marble-look countertop, brushed nickel fixtures throughout, and updated lighting that actually brightens the room instead of just washing it in yellow.

One thing we focus on with bathroom remodels is keeping everything cohesive. The tile, the hardware, the mirror, the light bar - it all needs to speak the same language. Here, we went with a warm gray tile palette and matched every metal finish to brushed nickel. Nothing mismatched, nothing competing. It just works.

The shower wall tile runs floor to ceiling, which opens the space up visually and gives it that clean, spa-like feel. We also added a built-in tile niche and a grab bar - practical details that are easy to overlook but make a real difference in how the space actually lives. Small bathrooms especially benefit from thoughtful little touches like that.

A bathroom remodel is one of the highest-impact updates you can make to a home. It's a space you use every single day, and it should feel good to be in. When the before is this dramatic, the after speaks for itself.
