Here's what we were working with - yellow walls, carpet leading into the bathroom, an old tub with a basic curtain rod, and a vanity that hadn't been touched in decades. Functional? Barely. Comfortable? Not really. It's the kind of bathroom you use but never actually enjoy.

We gutted it and rebuilt it from the ground up. The floor got a full penny tile treatment that runs edge to edge - a classic look that also holds up great in a wet environment. The walls got a fresh neutral tone that actually makes the space feel bigger and cleaner. Small choices like that add up fast.

The tub surround was one of the biggest changes. We tiled it floor to ceiling with large-format gray tile, added a dark accent band at the base, and set decorative medallion tiles throughout for some character. A sliding glass door replaced the old curtain rod - cleaner look, easier to clean, and it shows off the tilework instead of hiding it.

The vanity area got a complete overhaul too. Out went the old yellowed cabinet and single-bulb lighting. In came a wood-toned vanity with a stone-look countertop, a round mirror, and a modern multi-pendant light bar. The dark accent tile wraps the room as a chair-rail detail, tying everything together. It's cohesive without being overdone.

A bathroom remodel done right isn't just a cosmetic fix - it changes how the whole room functions and feels. Better storage, better lighting, easier maintenance. That's the standard we hold every job to, whether it's a small update or a full gut remodel like this one.
